Affiliate Programs: Linkshare

I have been searching for more affiliate programs. Today I have joined Linkshare.

LinkShare Referral Program UK

This is one of the main programs for affiliate sales together with Amazon and Clickbank.

The process doesn’t present any problem, quick and easy for the three of them. I have found that Linkshare doesn’t have as much variety of products as Amazon or Clickbank (at least in some niches), however it is got some well-known retailers such as Avon or Hallmark, which still can be useful. Worth to have a certain variety of companies and products from where to choose from if you want to cover properly a particular niche.

Building a Squidoo lens

I heard so much about Squidoo lenses that I wanted to try it by myself. So I have built my very first lens. Well, at least the beginning of it.

I just found the whole project fascinating. If you are new to Squidoo, as I was, you have lots of articles and help around in their website, where you can sign up for free.

A squidoo lens is a one single web page that you can use to promote your website, blog, your Amazon products or affiliate products. The best thing is that you don’t even need to have your own website; you still can use your lens as your page in the net where you can attract your own visitors and make some extra income.

The lenses are quite easy to build, just following a wizard type of set up and once built you only need to edit the modules you want to appear in your page or delete the ones you don’t. Squidoo will include some Google ads in your website and it will share the profit made with you, donating also a percentage to charity.

The truth is that Squidoo can make you a lot of money. If you are a beginner, or you don’t have too many visitors to your website, you will find in Squidoo the traffic that otherwise you wouldn’t find, it is reported that some members sell more through their Squidoo page than through their own traffic. So I thought it would be worth a try.

If you would like to give it a try, you can sign up here.

Or if you would like to have a look, here is my first lens.

Some work on Christmas Day

Today I have been doing some surveys at Cashcrate. I really like this website. The surveys and offers are so easy and quick to complete. I find really motivating the fact that you can check on top of the page the money for payment that has been approved and the one that is still pending. Probably in one evening when the children are in bed you can complete the minimum to be paid into your bank account. I can really recommend this website. If you decide to sign up please, remember to use this link.

I have heard a lot about Squidoo lately, so I have been doing my research and working a little bit in building my own lens. Well, I will talk about it a little bit tomorrow.

Happy Christmas to everyone!

Paid Surveys

There are several companies around that are legitimate and some of them that are not. In my situation I really need a solution that works and is legitimate. I don’t have the time to spend in scams or not serious offers, nor have I the time to waste recommending it to others.

To avoid unpleasant surprises when I hear about a company, I do my research and I try it myself, if it is any good I recommend it to others, if it is not I don’t waste my time in any of the two.

I have heard lately repeated comments about Cashcrate. I did my research and it seems to be a genuine American company with lots of positive feedback. Although they are American, residents from other countries are also welcome. So I have signed up and I have been filling some surveys these days.

All you have to do is filling a form with your e-mail and an address where you want to receive your payments. You get the possibility to take part on their surveys and free offers, signing up to different websites. I have found the offers easy and quick to fill in, you can see straight away which ones offer more or less money, and the amount builds up pretty quickly.

TIPS: As there are different offers just click in the ones that are 100% free, in this way you don’t risk anything and you are done. I have found lately, my junk folder with some more “junk” than usual, so I would recommend that you sign up with a different e-mail account to the one that you normally use.

They also have a great referral program in which you get 20% commission on whatever your referral makes and a further 10% on whatever a second line of referrals (under your referrals) make.

I haven’t had any contact from them, in the kind of sales/ junk e-mails, however I have been really surprised at their quick response when I e-mailed them regarding an incident with one of my surveys. I got their reply back straight away. Now, that is what I call “efficiency”.

If you choose to sign up please, use the link provided in the post. Thanks for your support.

Affiliate Programs

Affiliate programs are one of the most effective and fastest ways to start making money on your website.

Depending on the content of your blog/website, you search for products and you write a review. Affiliates work on commission; if you make a sale you get a percentage of the profit.

When you have quality content and honest reviews, your readers will trust your opinion and recommendations as an expert, which, with time (as in any business) it will translate in sales.

Setting up an affiliate’s account at Amazon is easy and quick. Once set up, Amazon will provide you with a link to insert in your review, which will help track back the sale to your account.

Through the years, Amazon has built a good reputation on the net, and it is very likely that some of your readers will trust a name that they always recognize.

Amazon’s percentage depends on the number of items sold, starting by a 4% from 0-6 items.

Another very popular website for affiliate sales I have found is Clickbank, I find that the name and reputation of Clickbank is becoming increasingly popular, with different products you can choose from in various categories, with commissions of up to 75%.

Google Adsense

Now that the blog is up and running the first step to start making money is to add advertising.
While your blog is new, chances are that not too many companies will contact you to advertise in your space. However, there is a very easy and effective way to add adverts to your pages and start earning some income.

Apply for a Google Account.

It is free, it is easy and once your blog is approved you simply go into your Blog Layout and clicking on “Add a Google Gadget” you select it.

Nothing else you have to do, Google adverts will appear automatically in your page. Google will choose adverts according to the content of your page. When someone clicks on an advert you get paid. The more visitors you have to your blog, the more chances you have to increase your income.

For many websites Google Adsense brings the main source of income, even for new ones the Adsense program is a way of starting making money through articles and quality content from the beginning.

Get a Blog

In this blog I intend to talk about what I do and how I do it, pros and cons, product reviews; the good, the bad (and the ugly) in what I see and experience.

My first stop: Get a blog.

There are different types of free weblogs around and probably the best known are blogger and wordpress. I have chosen Blogger is free, quick and easy. It takes a matter of minutes to set up. Choose a name, a theme and start blogging. You can’t go wrong.

You can just type away or fiddle with your template if you have some basics in html. You can upload pictures, and graphics even add Google gadgets. It is useful to check around other blogs to get some ideas. Then you have some useful guides and articles explaining what can you do with your blog and how.

One of the very positive sides that Blogger has is its very active online community. It is really worth joining its online groups. Whether you want to share your blog, or you have any problem, they are there, just one click away, “ask” and you will be surprised with the response.

Mumpreneur

Mumpreneur is becoming a very common word nowadays. An increasing number of mums, are rebelling themselves against jobs that don’t allow them to spend enough time raising their children.

Instead of giving up their time with their children, some of these women are starting up their own business. Becoming a MUM + ENTREPRENEUR this super-woman juggles family and work together, always striving to find the right balance between both.

The biggest motivation behind this blog is to be able to prove to myself that it can be done. That life doesn’t end when you become a mum; it just starts, although in a very different way to how you knew it.

I plan to build most of my income online through legitimate work-at-home programs of different types, which hopefully will bring a new life and free our debts.

I will be posting about the different results I am getting, about what I do and what I hear. If it can be done you will be the first one to know about it. If you have any suggestions, any feedback is welcome. If you want to follow us and try by yourself, I will be glad to share my journey with you.

Feel at home!
